Is it possible to get Dental Implants abroad?

So you’ve heard too many horror stories about British dentists, or you can’t afford the high prices of dental implants in the U.K or perhaps you’ve just had enough of this wet, windy and gloomy weather which passes for summer nowadays over here! Well going abroad for dental implants is certainly a viable option and one which more and more people are choosing every year. People are turning their backs on London and Manchester and heading abroad to less well known but much cheaper places instead. The boom in surgery-tourism really owes a lot to the increase in cheap flights which has been seen over the last  few years; crazy prices mean that it may well be cheaper to fly abroad than book a return train ticket to London to have your dental implants fitted. That being said, going abroad does complicate matters. Different countries have different ways of operating their dental practices and you need to ensure that your own dentist back home will be willing to do any follow up work or checkups for you; going abroad might be nice, but you don’t want to do it every time you need a checkup!
