The second deals solely with merchandise for the new born. Bumps 'n Babes sells a wide range of baby clothing, nappies, baby products, gifts and baby toiletries ensuring you're never without the essentials for your little while staying or visiting. This shop blends well with the Cygnet Wing, which is a specialist women and children's unit.

If you feel peckish you can gain access to a 24 hour vending machine which is situated outside the main ward block elevators. There are also two restaurants, the Swannery and Le Bistro. Both offer hot food and snacks throughout the day.

At Bedford Hospital patients have access to the Hospicom service allowing simple and easy access for in-patients to call home, and a charge free cash machine can be found at the Kempston Road entrance. Should you find yourself in need of a little respite, please find solace in the patient gardens or for religious purposes and a quick word, a Muslin prayer room and all faiths Chapel is also available on site.
